Cops :Mom Terrie Greene Stabs, Kills Daughte Felicia Greene After She Comes For Child

PITTSBURGH -- A 26-year-old woman was fatally wounded during what Pittsburgh police described as a domestic dispute with her mother, who had been watching her child in West Oakland.
Officers in Zone 4 said they were called to a home in the 2000 block of De Ruad Street at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a stabbing.

Police said the victim, Felicia Greene, was taken to nearby UPMC Mercy in critical condition and later pronounced dead.

Greene's mother, Terrie, 47, was also taken to UPMC Mercy with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

In the criminal complaint, police said Terrie Greene told them that she was babysitting Felicia Greene's 3-year-old son and her daughter came to the apartment to pick the child up. Terrie Greene told police that she and Felicia Greene had argued about the child's well-being.

Police said Terrie Greene told them that her daughter picked up the child and started walking to the front door when the verbal argument turned physical. Terrie Greene said Felicia Greene punched her in the face and the body, according to the complaint, and when Terrie Greene was able to break free, she grabbed a kitchen knife and baseball bat and confronted her daughter, police said.

Terrie Greene told police that she and Felicia Greene began fighting some more, and then she "lost it" and stabbed Felecia Greene in the stomach with the kitchen knife and hitting her daughter with the baseball bat, according to the complaint.

Terrie Greene was charged with homicide and taken to the Allegheny County Jail to await a preliminary hearing.

What in the world is wrong with this woman? I don't care if my child was trying to punch me the last thing I would think to do would be stab her. She had a bat why did she need a knife too? I just can't understand this one grown or not that is still your child!

I have a theory.

The 26 year old was a crack addict. The grandmother didn't want her grandchild to be in the care of an irresponsible crack addict and refused to let her grandkid leave with the mother who was probably high or on the way to get high.

If I was a drug addict and was risking my kid's life I'm sure my mother would do the exact same thing. My mom doesn't play when it comes to the safety of kids. Considering how many losers my generation has spawned we need good grandmothers who don't enable their druggie kids.

If we find out the victim is a drug addict who was endangering her child then I say the grandma deserves a medal but that's just me.

You are entitled to your opinion but that doesn't change mine. I don't care if my child was a horrible drug addict I wouldn't stab her to death. If I was worried about my grandchild I would contact the authorities and work towards having the child removed from her care. Just being a drug addict doesn't mean you should be killed. JMO!

If the mother was a drug addict (and I freely admit she might not be) but IF she was...then the grandmother was probably scared for her grandson's immediate safety. An argument probably escalated to a fight with weapons, the grandmother felt threatened and got stabby.

We always bitch about how the other relatives just enable the rejects showcased on this site and wonder why no one ever did more to protect the kids. Maybe the grandmother here was doing what we always bitch about not getting done...looking after the kid's safety.

Then again maybe the grandmother really is a sorry piece of shit...I don't know the whole story.

Wow – sounds like Oakland Pittsburgh is as crappy as Oakland California! What are the odds of that?

How sad that the little boy had to witness grandma and mommy fight and then watch as his grandma stabbed his mommy – that is just 10 kinds of fucked up.

What ever Grandma's intention was, it failed. Caused now little one is alone. Nice job there Grandma. I too hope that is NOT her mug shot cause this is not a kodak moment.
