Kirsten Larissa Patrick and David Barry Kye are missing from Leland, North Carolina.
Kirsten is fourteen years old, about 5' 3" and 110 lbs. She has black shoulder length hair, hazel eyes, a lip piercing, and always wears dark eyeliner. She was last seen Friday afternoon, January 28, 2011 after school. Her school requires uniforms, and Kirsten was wearing hers Friday morning - it is not known if she changed clothes before the end of the school day.
Barry is fifteen years old, with brown hair and blue/grey eyes. His hair is short. I do not have a description of his clothing yet. He left for school in his uniform.
The pair was spotted heading into a wooded area after school, and police were immediately called but were unable to track the kids. They have been gone now for over 42 hours. Neither Barry or Kirsten had a cell phone with them, so they have no means of contacting family.
There have been reports from two different sources stating that there was mention from them about going to South Carolina. If they have taken that route they would have traveled via HWY 17 South. There is a possibility that they are traveling in a small white pick-up truck (like a Dodge Dakota) with tinted windows and a "Fox" sticker on the upper middle part of the windshield.
