STILLWATER, N.Y. -- After three weeks of being held against her will in a Stillwater home, a woman escapes with injuries on her face, neck and legs. Now, James Cooney of Watervliet is under arrest for unlawful imprisonment, assault, and felony contempt charges.

Stillwater police said Cooney would not let the woman leave the house alone and even disabled her cell phone so that she could not call for help.

After she escaped and spoke with police, they were able to trace a phone call Cooney made to a house in Colonie. That's where they arrested Cooney.

He now sits in Saratoga jail on $40,000 bail.
