One of the children contemplated falling down stairs so they could go to the hospital instead of home.

This is so sad and I understand it too well.

I hope these children are placed this time in a loving home and get a chance at a good, happy life.

The former husband was a scam artist. It's not at all unlikely she is a similar kind of person, running scams on her church and work and neighbors. She had them fooled about who she was.

But, the 20 year old daughter that escaped the home referred to four other kids -- we're only hearing about three. What happened to the fourth?

"Last time we were up at that house, me and my mom were sneaking over to see my two brothers and two sisters, taking them food because they said they were hungry and they needed something to eat," Chappell told WKYC.

Good catch on the 4! I wonder how credible this girl is. If true, I hope the other one followed her lead and is somewhere safe!
