EVANSVILLE — A Princeton, Ind., woman has been accused of drunken driving after her car was involved in a rollover accident that left one toddler face-down in a watery ditch and another child injured.
The accident happened about 9:40 a.m. Friday on U.S. 41 near Radio Avenue.
According to a news release from the Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Department, Candise Dayon, 32, was driving a 2004 Dodge Stratus south on U.S. 41 about 9:40 a.m. Friday when her vehicle was involved in an accident near Radio Avenue.
Two sheriff's deputies who witnessed the accident said Dayon's vehicle rolled several times before coming to rest down a steep embankment on the west side of the highway. The deputies reported the accident to dispatchers and began to assist the accident victims.
Detective Andy Lasher arrived at the scene and found a 2-year-old girl lying face down in a ditch filled with water. Lasher took the child out of the water, according to the report, and then helped Dayon pull a 3-year-old boy from some nearby brush.
Medics from Scott Township and the McCutchanville Fire Department treated Dayon and her children at the scene before all three were taken to Deaconess Hospital.
The children were admitted with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries. Dayon was released from the hospital and then arrested on preliminary charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with a passenger under age 18, operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury, driving while license suspended and violation of the child restraint law.

Thankfully these officers were nearby and able to save these babies. Let's hope someone steps in to save these precious angels from their worthless egg donor. No picture of drunken egg donor as yet.
