Girl killed for telling boys she was pregnant

Three teenage boys have confessed to killing a pregnant 14-year-old in a murder which has shocked a nation.

The Italian trio, aged 15, 16 and 17, said yesterday that they strangled Lorena Cultruro before setting her body on fire and throwing it down a well, fearing one of them was the father.

The schoolgirl called the youths – one of whom was her boyfriend – on April 30 to arrange a meeting to *discuss her suspected pregnancy.

They picked her up on a scooter and she told them her period was late and that she believed one of them was the father.

Fearing she would identify them, the youths drove her to a well in an *isolated area of countryside near Caltanisetta, Sicily. They forced Lorena to strip before she was strangled while being held down by two of the boys.

She was then set on fire before being weighed down with a stone around her neck and hurled into the well. Her body was found earlier this week following a national TV appeal.

But Mr Cultruro said: 'She never *mentioned to us that she was pregnant. I don't know if I believe it.'

That's so sad they murdered her, but I find it equally disturbing that at 14 you don't know which one out of three boys might be the daddy??? Jesus Christ.

Oh Becca, don't you watch Maury? I saw a 12 year old on Friday that cannott tell her mom who the dad is for sure. And a 14 year old that has been back 4 times!

Yep. Don't know if you saw but I have a ton of kids and I knew who all there dads are. OOh, that made me sound vaguely slutty! I like it.

The really sad part of the story, aside from the dead little tramp, is that these boys are in Italy and they will probably not serve any serious time for the crime, if they serve any time at all.
