A man was jailed Thursday on allegations that he threw his four-month old son in the air and caught him by a leg in an attempt to stop the baby from crying.

Watemon M. Morris Jr., 25, Fort Drum, also “shook the ... child vigorously back and forth,” the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department alleges.

Mr. Morris was arrested on two felony counts of reckless assault of a child. LeRay Town Justice George E. Mead III set bail at $15,000, sending him to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building. He awaits grand jury action.

The sheriff’s office alleges there were two separate incidents, the first occurring sometime between Nov. 4 and Nov. 19. It was within that period that the baby was thrown into the air. A court document elaborates “The child was behind Watemon Morris’ back, causing him to fling the child over his shoulder to be caught in front of Watemon Morris.”
I am trying to picture how this could even happen, being flung threw the air like that. Absolutely horrible. Babies cry you jack wad...
