SAN ANTONIO -- A north side woman said her unexpected exit from the bathroom led her to discover her seven year old daughter was the victim of sexual assault.
According to the arrest affidavit, the woman called police Saturday saying she had found Leonard Ortiz, 28, in a bedroom of her home, partially nude and lying on top of her daughter.
The woman said she had been taking a shower but came out of the bathroom suddenly to retrieve some shampoo.
Upon seeing what was happening, she immediately ordered Ortiz to stand up and asked if he had been having sex with her child, the affidavit said.
The affidavit said Ortiz denied it, but admitted to "rubbing against" the girl on two occasions.
However, police said that under questioning, the child told them the sexual assaults had been ongoing, usually occurring when her mother wasn't home.
