A BODY discovered in dense woodland in Windsor Great Park was positively identified today as missing millionaire Joanna Brown, who ran an award-winning bed and breakfast, police said.
Mrs Brown’s husband, Robert, a 46-year-old British Airways pilot, was charged on Thursday with her murder. He will appear in court tomorrow for a bail hearing.
Thames Valley Police said an examination of Mrs Brown’s body, found about 40km west of London, determined the cause of death to be severe blunt force trauma to the head.
Mrs Brown, also 46, and her husband married 11 years ago and had two children - an 11-year-old boy and a nine-year-old girl - but separated three years ago.
Joanna Brown was understood to have lived at the couple's marital home for 12 years before turning it into an upmarket guest house two years ago.
A police spokesman said a family member raised the alarm after he was unable to contact her last Monday.
