BOSTON -- A school van driver was arrested and charged with sexually assaulting an elementary school student, Brookline police said Tuesday.
On Sunday, Brookline police received a call from a mother who said a school van driver had sexually assaulted her daughter in Larz Anderson Park on Friday afternoon.
The bus driver, Israel Santiago, 41, of Roslindale, was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated rape, kidnapping and indecent assault on a child under 14 years of age.
Police are investigating whether Friday's alleged incident was the first assault on the girl.
Santiago will be arraigned Tuesday in Brookline Municipal Court.
The van company, YCN, has been cooperative in the investigation, police said.
