Groping Alleged At Haunted House

TARPON SPRINGS — A North Pinellas man was arrested on multiple child abuse charges Friday night. Tarpon Springs police said he went into a haunted house organized by high school students and fondled, kissed or harassed several of them.
It happened about 10 p.m., police said, during an event organized by the Tarpon Springs High School drama club.
Police would not disclose the location, but said it was not a private home. They could not say if any of the five victims, ages 12 to 18, were members of the drama club.

The St. Petersburg Times is not naming the suspect because his identity was the subject of considerable confusion Saturday.
An arrest affidavit from Tarpon Springs police named one man, while Pinellas County Jail officials said fingerprints had established it was another man who used the same address and date of birth. A family member said the jail report was in error. Both men are about 50 years old and appear to be brothers.

The Sheriff's Office could not explain the discrepancy Saturday night.

Police said the man entered the haunted house as a part of a group. Outside the building, police said, he approached one girl and fondled her through an opening in her costume, police said.

Inside, the police report said, he forced a kiss on a young woman who was lying on a table, and groped her as well.
e grabbed another victim's head and shook it for five to seven seconds, and told another young person, "I'm not supposed to touch you, right?" before fondling and trying to kiss her, according to the affidavit.

He allegedly hit another teen in the stomach. That victim led arriving police officers to the man in a nearby alley. Police said he appeared to be drunk.
He was arrested on four counts of child abuse and one count of lewd and lascivious behavior, police said, all felonies. He was released from jail Saturday afternoon after posting $60,000 bond, records show.

I carried out a groping at a haunted house down in Gallipolis, at the French Art Colony. A masked actor came at us with an audible, yet harmless, running chainsaw. I was like 17 at the time and grabbed his ass. At least he had a sense of humor, ran off in the opposite direction, screaming like a gal. Twas a fun night indeed.

Other activities that night included:
Throwing eggs in thew haunted house, and
Watching my buddy mouthing off to a dumpster diver riding on a bike
Watching dumpster diver mouthing back
Watching my buddy then threatening dumpster diver and running after him
Dumpster diver jumping off his bike and swirling his trash bag of cans like a lasso at my buddy
Laughing at my buddy running away from dumpster diver like a bitch

It was all in fun. at least we didn't throw a bag of shit & piss on someone's roof. That happened to me and as I was getting it down it leaked down my arm.

Tarpon Springs police arrested a Palm Habor man on Friday night for allegedly hitting and groping five children at a haunted house. According to the arrest affidavit 50-year-old James Lewis Carter was an actor in the haunted house and grabbed one child's head and shook it for about five to seven seconds.

The haunted house was being put on by high school students. A 16 year-old female who was an actor and lying on a table was reportedly kissed on the mouth by Carter with his tongue and touched in her genital area through her clothes. Police say the man was intoxicated at the time.

Carter's third haunted house victim was another underage girl who said that he put his hand on her shoulder and touched her breast through her clothing and hen tried to press his face against hers.

A fourth victim who was also an actor at the haunted house was wearing a costume with an opening on the side. She told police that Carter reached inside of the opening and touched her breast and genital area through her clothing.

Carter is accused of punching a fifth teen and then trying to grab him. The teen managed to get away and the suspect took off down an alley. That's where police arrested him.

That sort of same thing happened to a bunch of us girls, when I was in high school. The University had a Haunted House set up...we went one night and the damn college guys groped us....we didn't complain, actually some of us went in twice!!! Now had it been that old geezer, we would have been mortified.
