An Albuquerque man is charged with aggravated indecent exposure after allegedly standing naked outside a teen’s window and trying to set her home on fire.

Police say the 15-year-old girl saw Robert Mitchell, 50, outside her window. When she went to the front door, she says he was standing there completely naked. The girl’s mother, grandmother, and younger sister were home at the time and confirmed her story.

After being observed by the women, Mitchell retreated. When police arrived at the girl’s home, the family said earlier in the evening they had heard a loud explosion and noticed a bush outside the front door was on fire. A cardboard explosive device was found nearby.

Police located Mitchell and took him into custody.

When the investigator asked Mitchell about the incident he said he had thought about setting the home on fire, but couldn’t remember if he did. When asked if he walked to the victim’s house naked, he stated he was wearing a red bathrobe but would not say why he went to the house to begin with.
