Whiskey And Xanax And A Bathtub: Lisa Zillman Charged With Murder Of 2-Month-Old

Tulsa Police Child Crisis detectives issued a second-degree murder warrant for Lisa Zillman,24, in connection to her infant's death.

Court records state on September 29th, before Zillman bathed her 2-month-old daughter in the bathtub she had drank whiskey and Xanax.

Records show twenty minutes later she was awakened by the baby's father who had to prie open the bathroom door.

Records state Zillman was initially asleep but woke up when the father started yelling her name. However, the baby was unresponsive.

"There was a bath seat in it. The mom was in the bathtub with bathseat. She says the last thing she remembers is bathing the baby and then her husband woke her up," says Tulsa Police Child Crisis Detective Jeanne MacKenzie.

The murder charge asserts that Zillman took a bath with her baby at their apartment at 10051 S. Sheridan Road while the mother was under the influence of Xanax and alcohol.

The charge contends that Zillman failed to provide adequate care or supervision for Hannah when the defendant was responsible for the baby’s health and safety.

According to a police affidavit, emergency medical personnel went to the residence after the child was found unresponsive in the bath tub by her father.

Hannah was pronounced death at a hospital, police reported.

Jason Zillman said his wife had taken Hannah for a bath, “and after approximately 20 minutes with no response to his knocking he entered the bathroom by prying it (the door) open with a butter knife,” according to a police affidavit.

Jason Zillman said his wife was in the bathtub with the baby and initially was unresponsive. He indicated that he woke her up and that Hannah was “lying in the bathtub and was unresponsive,” a police affidavit states.

It makes it so much harder to see photos of the babies. How can someone be so careless with such an adorable little person?

How absolutely tragic. When I was at my worst I did shit like that all the time. Not with my kids and certainly not while I have had my kids. I can not even put into words the feeling that I have about this. This is fucking terrible.

You know that bad thing about Xanax and alcohol is that you sleep so deep your brain can actually stop telling your heart to beat and lungs to breath, I have had numerous friends within the last 10 years dying just like this. It is sad for the family of a healthy man to suddenly be w/o a father because of prescription nerve pills but it happens all the time. You can count yourself as one of the lucky ones Jas!

I just don't get how people can get all fucked up and think they can care for a baby. I remember when my kids were babies their dad was suppose to keep them overnight so I went out and had a few drinks with my girls. I get back home and my sister is asleep on the couch with my youngest in her arms. (Dad couldn't handle the baby and brought her back home without even calling me) I made my sister care for her the whole rest of the night. I just couldn't trust myself to hold her for fear I would drop her. It was the worst feeling too. I also made my sister do all the cooking that night because I was afraid of starting a fire.. I tend to worry and over think about things.

Oh, this is hard. I have a friend who's sister this happened to, (not sure on the drug), same thing tho, bath with baby. They found her asleep, completely out baby on her belly...submerged under water.

It was an incredibly careless thing to do, stupid really, no matter how you look at it. How do you comfort someone over a loss like this and the circumstances that surround it? there are so many emotions to deal with. Such a beautiful waste of life...a mistake that cannot be undone.
Still, I feel deep sorrow for this woman and family. The pictures say so much. Appears to be a loving couple and family.
I keep thinking on the father and how he found his baby girl and wife....what a horrible thing to see and realize what he's looking at. No one untouched, baby Tyler with momma and sister Hannah gone, and a mother who will never be the same. I doubt she will ever see the beauty in a sunrise again.

My deepest sorrow goes out to baby Hannah. Her life was just starting, getting to know her momma's face and smell, the sound of her voice. So sorry baby Hannah, so much you will miss, you were loved and will be deeply missed. Those who must live life without you will face many dark days and struggle to find the joy as they did when they graced your sweet face. You go on now little Hannah as the angels take you back... loved and cherished always in heaven's light.

Believe me, after all the shit i've done--I consider myself extremely lucky.

I think that is why this one actually breaks my heart a bit.

Wow....Situations like this are a huge reason I choose not to take medication other than the ones I need to help with my cervical cancer treatment. Also another reason that if and when on a rare occasion I choose to drink that my children stay with my sister, their father or their grandmother. I have never even taken a bath with either of my children and I never allow them to take a bath together - Im always too afraid Cason will get too rowdy and splash too much water on Isabella. What a tragic end to a life so precious. She was absolutely beautiful and seeing her precious face made me go hug, kiss and tell my children how much I love them for the millionth time today.

He knocks on the door for twenty fucking minutes while his wife and baby are in the bathtub? The first second after I knocked and didn't get a response, the door would get kung-fu'd. He obviously knew something was wrong if he kept knocking that long. Seems like they have a few kiddos which makes the story even more tragic.

She said she would love to meet people who could share with her the joys of parenting and talk to her about the struggle of addiction and relapse. That breaks my heart. Jesus. This girl will suffer beyond description regardless of how she is penalized by the courts. This is horrible. Rest in peace baby Hannah.

That picture is so sweet. They say newborns don't "smile" from emotions but that pics says otherwise.

I love and miss her and I never knew her.

Tragic and sad for her family, but the world was a better place because she was in it for even once second.

    RIP, Lovely.

I read that bit of the article differently. I think after they had been in the bathroom for twenty minutes, then he knocked and when he got no answer he broke in.

After approximately 20 minutes with no response to his knocking, he entered the bathroom by prying the door open with a butter knife.

Seriously, he should have reacted quicker than that.

That first beautiful picture of her, it looks like she's still wearing the hospital bracelet. I have lots of 'baby' friends, but I've never seen a picture of the baby who looks so alert - that child is just days old, if that, and seems to be so aware and alert - which makes this even more sickening. badfish, you're right, that little baby has such a beautiful, peaceful expression, she's just gorgeous - and she's gone. It breaks my heart, and to hear how she died is just sickening.
