Man beats wife to death with baseball bat.

Dallas police said a man allegedly beat his ex-wife to death at her workplace and then threatened to jump from a bridge on the George Bush Turnpike in Carrollton.

The man went to her workplace in the 12000 block of Hillcrest Road and waited for her to show up Monday morning, according to police.

Investigators said he beat her in front of several witnesses. She died shortly after from her injuries.

Police said after the attack, the man drove to the Highway 190 overpass at the Interstate 35 interchange and was sitting on the railing.

A negotiator was able to talk the man down from the bridge and he is now in police custody.
