Someone has been stealing from the collection plate, OMG it's the Pastor!

WATERLOO, ONT. Police have charged a minister in Waterloo, Ont., with stealing from his church.
The senior pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church is alleged to have stolen more than $5,000 from the church over a 16-month period from 2009 to 2010.
Waterloo police spokesman Olaf Heinzel says officers began their investigation in June after being contacted by members of the church “who were concerned about money disappearing.”
The pastor was arrested Wednesday.
Rev. Paul Hartig is charged with theft over $5,000 and due in court on Jan. 17.
Rev. Mark Harris of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Canada says Hartig has been suspended from his duties at the church until the allegations are resolved. (Kitchener-Waterloo Record)

I kid you not but way back when I was much younger (okay, 8 years ago), I took this class on religion. I became friends with this deeply religious girl. You find an assortment of crazies in religion courses. The fundamentalists, the occassional judgmental cuntmonkey (they always interrupt civil discussions with remarks such as "Why do you care? You're going to Hell anyway" which would infuriate the prof), the kids that want "something more" so they latch on to a random foreign religion like Shinto as if it's going out of style, the apathetic kids full of pretensions (guilty!), the nutcases that pray with their rosaries out whenever the prof talks about a religion they're uncomfortable with like Islam - keep in mind this was just after 9/11 - and the culture junkies that take ever religion, culture, art course they can only to bomb out of school because they can't declare a freakin' major.

Anywho, she ended up living in this fantastic loft in downtown Toronto. If anyone is familiar with the area, a nice loft in Toronto will score you at least $1500 a month to rent and well over $200k to buy. She wasn't very bright (we had a fall-out because she stole some essays of mine) so she wasn't riding on scholarships. And scholarships at UofT are hard to come by. I never understood how she could possibly afford such a residence as an unemployed student. Incidentally, her father was a pastor (see where I am going with this?) and her mother was a 'homemaker'. Funny thing? The God damn church she went to paid for her fucking loft. A CHURCH!

Long story short let's start taxing these motherfuckers.
