The woman was found Wednesday night in the men's restroom in a building in San Diego Community College, the city police said.
Police did not say how the woman was killed.
The victim is a 19-year-old woman, who has in the past gone to police with domestic violence allegations against her husband, CNN affiliate KFMB reported.
A judge granted the victim a restraining order against her husband but it had not been delivered to him before her death, the affiliate reported.
Police told the affiliate that the husband, Armando Gabriel Perez, 37, was considered a person of interest in the case.
