Warrant Issued After Akeem Johnson's Constipation Cure Breaks The Baby

Austin police have issued a warrant for 18-year-old Akeem Johnson after they say he squeezed his four-month-old daughter and caused multiple fractures in at least seven bones.

The baby’s parents brought her to the Dell Children’s Medical Center for a broken ankle on June 11. Doctors discovered more than just a broken ankle, and police have spent four months building their case against Johnson.

Police say Johnson squeezed the child because she was constipated. They say it is an extreme case of child abuse.
    [...]

X-rays revealed multiple fractures to the baby's ankle, legs, and three of her ribs. According to an affidavit, the child's mother told investigators how the baby's father Akeem Johnson injured their 4-month-old daughter.

“The suspect laid the baby on the bed and basically folded the baby's legs up and squeezed down onto the chest,” Cpl. Hipolito said. “He also grabbed the baby's legs and squeezed on the baby's chest, trying to make the baby have a bowel movement.”

Police say Johnson injured his daughter again in the same manner a few days later.
    [...]

Now police are looking for Johnson. He no longer lives at the East Austin apartment where police say he abused the baby.
    [...]

The mother no longer lives at the apartment either. According to Children’s Protective Services, she voluntarily surrendered the infant to a family member and is allowed only supervised visits with her children until police close their investigation. A CPS spokeswoman confirmed that the mother is voluntarily enrolled in parenting classes.

Yeah I have heard of folding their little legs toward the chest to help with gas and such, but NOT that hard!

What a freakin' idiot! I think this was a case of dumb more than evil.

Chronic constipation is an unfortunate side effect of heroin use.

Your children yet unborn and unbegot,
That lift your vassal hands against my head

Yeah, a baby who should be sucking on formula or mother's milk should not usually be suffering from constipation. Ever heard of linseed oil?

Yeah, why would a baby be constipated. My children have been gassy before, but never constipated. What would make a baby that young constipated? This guy is a tool. Thank God the baby lived through that. (as so many babies don't) String him up like a pinata and let people try to beat the organs out of him.

I think some formulas DO cause constipation. Both of mine seemed to need help now and then while pooping, when they were formula fed. Vasaline and Qtips. Never inserted but we sometimes had to lube up the pooper and hold those little feet up. Ahh memories.

Funny story (if you are not me): My granddaughter got constipated. Ask-A-Nurse hotline recommended prunes. It was my turn to babysit.

Prunes work really really really really well.

Execute the cunt and penis. Neither of them deserve to have a precious baby.

If you don't execute them... for fuck sake, at least sterilize them!

Some mom's don't realize that their baby needs water too. You are right, some formulas do cause constipation. Toddlers have problems because they love eating cheese. They can also become impacted, and nurses know how that is taken care of...lol

The baby was 18 months old, so shouldn't have still been on formula. By the age of 1 yr they should be drinking milk. Maybe something in her diet caused her to become constipated. There are alot of things you give a child who is constipated. As of for formula, so containing iron can cause a baby to become constipated.

She was 4 months old, the abuser is 18 years old. I think you just got the two mixed up.

My best friend's husband is a vet, and he used to be able to "milk" farts out of their son when he was about four months old and extremely colicky. He'd massage his abdomen, do some gentle tapping here and there, bend the little guy's legs up to his chest and gently push. Thirty seconds later the baby would be asleep, we'd all have wine and peace and quiet would reign again.

The key being a) knowing what you're doing and b) pushing gently. GENTLY.

Small babies are rarely constipated, but they don't necessarily poop daily. My daughter once went five days without anything, and then... oh my god. She was only 2 or 3 months old and although I'd heard of "blow outs" I had no idea that could mean not only out of the nappy, but out of the neckline and wrist holes of a sleeper suit too.
