myFOXDetroit.com Staff - Police in Trenton say Jennifer Petkov was arrested today for 'assault using a dangerous weapon' and 'reckless driving' after she allegedly tried to use her car to run over a neighbor. This is the same woman who had been taunting a dying little girl, Kathleen Edward of Trenton, by posting disturbing photos on Facebook.

On Wednesday, neighborhood resident Tana Boling was on her way to Rebecca Rose's house, the grandmother of Kathleen Edward. As she crossed the street she says Petkov tried to hit her. "Her car was in her driveway. I didn't notice if anyone was inside, it's just there. When I got so far into the street, she came speeding out of her driveway right toward me. If I didn't get out of the way she would have hit me, there is no doubt," says Boling.

Petkov remains in jail at this time, pending a bond of $75,000 or 10% paid for release.

If Petkov, 33, is convicted of felonious driving she could face up to four years in prison. The charge of reckless driving is a misdemeanor and carries a sentence of up to 93 days in jail.

33rd District Court Judge Michael McNally scheduled a preliminary examination of the evidence against her for 8:30 a.m., October 26.

Trenton police also tell Fox 2 that Petkov is currently under a six-month probation for disorderly conduct. The probation period began on July 5, 2010.

Petkov has been in the center of a story that has gripped metro Detroit and the nation, after she posted a photo of Kathleen Edward's face as part of a "skull and crossbone" on her Facebook page. Edward is a 7-year-old-girl who is dying from Huntington's Disease, a rare brain disorder. Petkov also posted a photo of Kathleen's mother Laura Edward, wrappde in the arms of the grim reaper. Laura died last year from the same disease.

Her husband Scott Petkov parked a pick-up truck in front of Rebecca Rose's house, the place where Kathleen lives, that had tombstones and messages of death painted on it. A coffin was placed in the back of the truck.

Since this story first made air on Fox 2 News, (watch it here) , thousands of people have responded to support the little girl. Money was raised and Kathleen went on a toy store shopping spree just yesterday.

The Petkovs have apoligized for their actions , removed the Facebok posts, dismantled the coffin and painted over the truck

Many installed cameras (including the woman shes accused of attempting to run over)
Shes been caught on tape tossing rats and mice into neighbors pools,cutting hoses to pools with razors keying cars etc,etc
Shes got a son with seizures that shes been caught on tape PUNCHING in the head,they have turned tapes over of her abusing her kids in public and CAS is now involved

A couple of yrs ago a psychic told us that with the old man that died here and hangs around that there is also a small girl around 5yo
We knew the other owners,
1) is the old man that still hangs here,his granddaughter works with my SIL at the casino so I have always been able to contact her when things happened and she would verify things and there was no child that died in the family

3) Were the Petkovs, I was shocked when I searched the deed and saw they built and lived here at the beginning b/c we always thought we were the 3rd owners

We took a whole night researching the Petkovs back then b/c there are none here the city
Turns out they were immigrants and lived in Detroit for yrs came here built this house lived here a bit then went back to Detroit where they lived until they died

Having lived in Detroit for 4 years and absolutely despising the mentality and mean attitude most natives there have, all I can add is that this woman is the epitome of that god forsaken city.
Someone mentioned Devil's night. The night before Halloween where people run around setting fire to downtown (mostly abandoned) buildings.

That said, the fact that this woman felt at any point in time (even if it were briefly) that her actions were appropriate blows me away. Not only that but that she wasn't being monitored in any sort of way what with the probation and all of this controversy.
