Noah Mitchell Arrested For Beating Dog That Tried To Run Away

A Key Largo man has been charged with animal cruelty after he allegedly beat his dog nearly to death Sunday. The black Labrador named "Bubba" almost died of its injuries, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. 33-year-old Noah Mitchell was jailed on a charge of Animal Cruelty.

"Bubba" almost died of its injuries which include a collapsed lung, damaged esophagus and fractured ribs. Doctors at South Florida Animal Hospital said if Bubba had been brought in an hour later, he might not have survived.

The dog in is an oxygen tent under observation and is expected to be hospitalized for several more days.

A witness said Bubba upset Mitchell when he tried to run away. Mitchell caught the dog by the collar, the witness said, and dragged him so violently inside he damaged the dog's neck and esophagus. Then Bubba grabbed a steak from the kitchen counter.

Enraged, Mitchell allegedly picked the dog up, slammed it to the ground and then performed a "knee drop" wrestling move on the dog once it was on the ground.

When police arrived Bubba was in a cage, unresponsive. Mitchell was taken to jail, and Bubba was taken to the hospital.

"Then Bubba grabbed a steak from the kitchen counter" is probably the oddest part of all this. Was the dog starving? In the middle of getting the crap beat out of him, Bubba steals a steak??

Many folks have come forward with offers of adoption. I hope whoever gets him gives Bubba all the steak he wants.

Poor boy. US animal rescues always try their best to restore animals to full health, ours give up too easily or don't try at all.

What the RSPCA don't want you to know!!

Thank you for your further enquiry.

Yes, they were. A decision was made following a discussion between eight RSPCA officers that the most humane form of euthanasia would be to use a captive bolt. This would minimise distress to the dogs, while also being the safest method for those people responsible for dealing with the animals. Restraining the dogs and then shaving a limb to prepare for a lethal injection would have caused these animals unnecessary suffering, due to the animals suffering from a severe skin condition.

Thank you again for contacting the Society.

    Kind regards

So I'm very happy to hear this dog was rescued and is hopefully recovering while his attacker is in jail. Well done to everyone who helped.

OMFG! I was wondering what the hell a "captive bolt" was. It's a fucking nail gun. In the course of my search, I found this video.

It's horrific. The rspca is a charity though and if people knew how their donations were being spent they'd be outraged. They're trying to sue anyone who is speaking out against them, but they've no grounds for that. I watch animal cops and the difference between the big US and British charities efforts is astounding. Half the people involved shouldn't be allowed near animals.

    Mother... fucker...

Do you know what beating the living shit out of a dog trying to escape you teaches it? TO RUN FARTHER AND FASTER... Do you think it doesn't know you're pissed off? Of course it tries to get away...

Honestly. you should hear me sometimes when Ren annoys me (Usually by barking insanely at the window)... but he KNOWS I will never hurt him, I made damn sure to teach him that no matter how angry I am, as long as he comes (or stops what he's doing) to me I stop yelling. They aren't people FFS... all they know is you are angry, and they are scared...

Imagine being in a foreign country, where no one speaks your language... suddenly some big scary person starts screaming at you and you don't know what you've done... what would you do? Saunter up to them? You're probably going to run... (You might try to approach them, but if they continue yelling as you do?)and if they start screaming louder? You're going to run FASTER.

    Asshole... fucking asshole...

We have lost many *dinners* in our house. Including my broccoli cakes. And our animals are very well fed.

I want to beat the fuck outa this guy.
