A 35-year-old Grand Rapids woman was taken to Stearns County Jail after police say she drove while under the influence of alcohol Friday night.

Kristine Anna Bahr crossed the median on Division Street at 10:30 p.m. and was stopped by police at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites, according to reports.

A strong alcohol odor and slurred speech were detected, and she failed a field sobriety test and was arrested, according to police.

At Stearns County Jail, a test there of Bahr showed a 0.14 blood alcohol-level content, police said.

She is expected to be charged with first-degree DWI because of prior convictions, failure to yield for an emergency vehicle, crossing the median, driving after cancellation and danger to public safety.
