A Seattle man who shot a woman and her young son two nights before she was scheduled to testify against him in court was sentenced Friday to 48 years in prison.
Federal prosecutors and even Chief U.S. District Judge Robert Lasnik commented at length Friday about Devaughn "Buster" Dorsey's extensive criminal history, which included 58 prior convictions and more than 90 arrests.
Lasnik and the U.S. Attorney's Office said Dorsey has the most extensive criminal history they had ever seen.
Basically shows the failure of our system. It shouldn't have taken him nearly shooting two people to death to finally get him off the streets.
