This by me and I really wasnt paying alot of attention to it until tonight when news said they found human flesh in fridge, surgical gloves and bloody sheets in bedroom etc and a dead rotti also

A wife is in police custody after her husband died
Farmington Hills, Mich. (WXYZ) - Bizarre new details emerging in the death of Farmington Hills attorney, Lloyd Johnson.
The 47-year-old died at Botsford Hospital Wednesday morning. Police have his wife, Laura, in custody. Police will not say why they have Laura in custody, they will only say they are investigating the death.
Now an attorney representing Johnson's five children says he does not believe Johnson was stabbed, but declined to say exactly what he believes caused Johnson's death.

"My understanding is that Mr. Johnson had disclosed to his wife Laura over the weekend in some sort of discussion that he was planning on filing for divorce from her and her statement back was apparently that she did not want that to happen."
He did however reveal startling new details from the search warrant returns. According to Dailey, police removed suspected human tissue from the kitchen refrigerator/freezer, prescription medication and assorted medical and surgical supplies from the master bedroom. He says police also removed bloody sheets from the master betroom and bedding with blood stains from the upstairs hallway.
Dailey says Johnson was taken to the hospital Monday on a claim he was having a heart attack, but he says that is not true. He says there was blood in the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. He says Johnson's wife Laura was picked up Wednesday morning at a Farmington Hills school trying to take her kids out of school. Dailey says it's his understanding she was trying to remove herself, "pending the fallout from whatever actions she may have had here."
The family's dog was also found dead in the home. Dailey says the dog may have been poisoned. Tests are being done to figure out how the dog died.
Llyod Johnson was an attorney, who once worked in Geoffrey Fieger's office

While the Farmington Hills police remain tight-lipped about an investigation into the death of a 47-year-old man, his children's attorney is speaking out about the horrors that may have occurred inside the man's home.

Lloyd Johnson was pronounced dead early Wednesday morning at Botsford Hospital, and now his wife is in police custody.

Johnson's family attorney, Brian Dailey of Royal Oak, said at a news conference Thursday that Johnson was brought into the hospital for an apparent heart attack Monday morning, and died two days later.

Dailey said Johnson had high amounts of opiates in his system when he arrived at the hospital, which suggests he was possibly poisoned. When police went to Johnson's home Monday, they found the family dog dead of an apparent poisoning, Daily said.

Earlier reports suggested Johnson and the family dog had been stabbed multiple times.

"I don't believe it was a stabbing. I believe it was something else. I am not exactly sure what was going on," said Dailey.

Police have not confirmed anything about Johnson's death.

"There is much more that needs to be told about this story that is not being told," said Dailey.

Neighbors told Local 4 that a flurry of police activity began to surround the couple's home on Elmgrove Street on Monday, after Johnson was brought into the hospital.

Dailey said once inside the home, police discovered surgical instruments in the couples bedroom, including a scalpel, needles and medication prescribed to his wife, Laura and bloodstained sheets.

Dailey said there were several bags of human remains in the freezer.

A photo album including pictures of numerous injuries was also found, said Dailey.

Neighbors told Local 4 that the police had been at the home several times before on complaints of domestic violence.

"Kids running out, saying, 'My dad's beating my mom,'" said a neighbor who did not want to be identified. "Always police presence down there and it wasn't very safe."

This sounds like a case of some very twisted domestic violence.

I couldn't have asked for a more bizarre case for my birthday if I had made it up myself. Maybe she was doing a test run to see if whatever the prescription was would show up on a tissue sample in an autopsy and that's why she had tissue samples in her refrigerator? Possibly she wasn't expecting him to die? But you would expect her to clean up the mess. If I was doing experiments on my husband I would clean up when I was done - (Just ask him). Are they tissue samples or human remains? (Possible old Kevorkian memorabilia.)

I want to know about the several bags of human remains. Tiny baggies? Sandwich baggies? 1/2 gallon ziplock? Wow, I am curious because that is weird!! And a photo album of injuries ? I am hyperventilating.

Wifey has now been charged with 2nd degree murder and more will be out tonight they said

Farmington Hills, Mich. (WXYZ) - The wife of Farmington Hills attorney, Lloyd Johnson has been arraigned on charges that she killed her husband.

Laura Johnson has been charged with: Homicide (2nd Degree), Manslaughter, and the Unauthorized Practice of Medicine.

The 47-year-old died at Botsford Hospital Wednesday morning.

Now an attorney representing Johnson's five children says he does not believe Johnson was stabbed, but declined to say exactly what he believes caused Johnson's death.

An autopsy was performed Wednesday but the results are pending.

I like that unauthorized practice of medicine - now that's fucked up. Is that the charge for the dog or the husband. Well, I guess we are going to have to wait until they tell us if he was missing skin when he went into the hospital or DNA tests on the human tissue in the refrigerator. If he beat her, he must have hit her head a few times because she is really not right. I'm also surprised they went for 2nd degree and manslaughter instead of 1st degree. If she had all of that medical equipment and medicine it sure sounds like she planed it.

The mother of a Farmington Hills woman charged with her husband's death Friday said her daughter was only following hospital instructions on how to care for a bizarre wound he suffered as a teenager.
    [...]

Josephine Michalik, mother of Laura Johnson, told The News her daughter was attempting to treat a wound resulting from a decades-old injury in which a piece of wood canoe paddle became lodged near his rectum.

"It had healed over completely up until two years ago. She was instructed by the hospital how to care for his wound and that's what she was doing," Michalik said by phone from Marco Island, Fla.

Michalik said her daughter told her by phone when she called from the Oakland County Jail that she had been caring for the wound at night and both she and Lloyd both fell asleep.

"That's when she woke up and found all the blood," Michalik said.

The Johnsons have both allegedly suffered a host of medical problems in the past few years requiring hospitalization, possibly brought on by toxic mold in a home she received in a divorce settlement, according to Oakland Circuit Court documents.
    [...]

Laura Johnson, according to a June 2008 court filing, has "multiple hospitalizations for her chronic infections and at least on one occasion attempted suicide."

She was emotional in Farmington 47th District Court Friday. She begged Judge Marla Parker to let her attend her husband's funeral and help police find the killer.

"I will cooperate with detectives," Laura Johnson said to Parker, who denied her bond. "I will help catch the real people who did this."
    [...]

Assistant Oakland County Prosecutor Greg Townsend asked Parker to deny Laura Johnson bond, saying she emptied the couple's bank accounts out earlier in the week and had family in Florida.

Laura Johnson denied the accusation, saying one of Lloyd Johnson's sons from his previous marriage had control of the accounts. She told the judge her dog and husband both died in a span of 12 hours.

"You're not going to let me out?" Laura Johnson said to Parker. "No one has any evidence. ... I haven't been charged."

Parker retorted: "You have been charged" and set the next court date for Wednesday.
    [...]

Neighbors of the Johnsons, who lived in a two-story semi-brick colonial near Middle Belt and 10 Mile, said they did not know the couple well, but one neighbor said she did observe some "odd" behaviors.

"She would park on the lawn, sometimes parallel, sometimes perpendicular," the neighbor, who asked not to be identified, said of Laura Johnson. "I've seen her fall into the ditch (along the road) several "

The neighbor said she often saw cuts and bandages on Laura's body, especially around the wrists and face.

"Sometime her face was really bad," she said.

What the hell??? I am still trying to make heads or tails of this bizarre case. Is the wife trying to say her husband had wounds to his rectum due to an old injury that had to be treated? And that's the reason for the human remains in the fridge? Call me crazy but when I treat/debride a wound I don't keep the "leftovers."

This couple sounds like they had some weird and kinky sex life that involved extreme masochism. I am just letting my imagination run rampant here since none of this information is making one iota of sense so far.

How do you get a piece of a wooden canoe paddle lodged in your body near your rectum???

I actually could see keeping the flesh from a debriding if you had a medical service that came and picked it up since it is bio-hazardous and really should be incinerated.

I am leaning toward the strange sex at this point tho.

She must not be fully hinged if she told the hospital he was having a heart attack then told the "REAL DOCTORS" how to treat the wound that they had unsuccessfully been trying to heal - I guess that's that Unauthorized Pracitice of Medicine(?). I think that is a really good idea Badfish76 about the biohazard, I wonder if they have any records of any pickups of hazardous materials at their address.
I wonder if he pissed somebody off enough for them to try to break a stick off in his ass and missed (sorry about that - please don't groan me - he is a lawyer remember!!!).

A woman charged with murdering her lawyer husband walked out of the Oakland County jail on Monday after prosecutors decided they didn't have enough evidence to convict her.

Laura Johnson, 46, was freed after prosecutors and defense lawyers asked a judge to give her a $10,000 personal bond, but it wasn't in time for her to attend the funeral held for her husband earlier Monday in Grosse Pointe Woods.

Prosecutor Jessica Cooper said investigators concluded the forensic evidence they have was insufficient to establish Johnson's guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, but that it did meet the probable cause standard for charging her.

"Accordingly, we are ethically bound to seek a personal bond" for Johnson, who had been jailed without bond, Cooper said.

Johnson was charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter and practicing medicine without a license after her 47-year-old husband, Lloyd Johnson, died last week. Prosecutors haven't detailed their allegations.

"None of this stuff is true. It's all going to come out," Johnson told WXYZ-TV as she left the jail in Pontiac. "He was a very brave man. You have no idea what a great man he was."
    [...]

Cooper, the county prosecutor, said authorities will continue collecting and examining physical evidence with the goal of making a case that can stick.

She declined to release details of what authorities think happened, which would have to come out at a preliminary examination now scheduled for Oct. 6.

Shes still charged with practicing medicine among others
They just dont have enough to prove beyond a reasonable doubt it was murder
They just had a new up on news at noon here

Medical Examiner rules Farmington Hills attorney's death was an accident
Farmington Hills, Mich. (WXYZ) - The Oakland County Medical Examiner has ruled that the death of Farmington Hills attorney Lloyd Johnson was an accident.

The report says Johnson died from penetrating trauma to his lower back and various complications.

The ruling comes one day after Johnson's wife was released on a $10,000 personal bond Monday afternoon.

The Oakland County Prosecutor says she is not sure the forensic evidence in the case of Laura Johnson can support the prosecution's theory beyond a reasonable doubt.

Johnson did have a serious infection along with damaged organs. Police also say they found bizarre evidence in the couple's home including human tissue samples and bloody bedding.

    From his website:

Prior to joining Fieger, Fieger, Kenney, Johnson & Giroux in 2002, Johnson spent over a decade defending nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals and foster care homes against claims of abuse and neglect. At Fieger Law, he used the insight he gained as a defense lawyer to obtain justice for plaintiffs.

    [...]

He worked his way through college by working as an orderly at Ingham Medical Center in Lansing, Michigan for three years.

Charges are dropped against Laura Johnson in her Farmington Hills husband's death
With tears streaming down her face, Laura Johnson walked silently out of court today a free woman after a judge dismissed murder charges filed against her in her husband's death.
This is what's supposed to happen," Oakland County Assistant Prosecutor Paul Walton said outside 47th District Court in Farmington Hills this afternoon. "When evidence was newly discovered, it was immediately relayed to the court."

Laura Johnson had been charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter and practicing medicine without a license, which Judge Marla Parker dismissed today.
Laura Johnson said nothing as she walked out of the courthouse accompanied by her lawyer, sister, a cousin and other family members.

“She’s relieved the nightmare is over,” said her lawyer John P. Williams. “Please let her mourn the loss of her husband.”
The Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office earlier this week declared Lloyd Johnson’s death an accident, caused by complications from an old boating injury. The medical examiner also said Lloyd Johnson was obese and had numerous health problems.

That ruling was what led to the dismissal of charges, combined with evidence from the hospital that Laura Johnson had been tending to the old boating wound within 48 hours of her husband's hospitalization Sept. 20, Walton said. Lloyd Johnson died two days later.
"This appeared to be a triggering event that caused a decline in his health," Walton said.
But after police arrived at the home on Sept. 20 to reports that Lloyd Johnson had suffered a heart attack, they came to a completely different conclusion, Walton said. The pools of blood, the human tissue in the freezer labeled with Lloyd Johnson's name, and allegations by one of Lloyd Johnson's adult children that Johnson thought his wife was going to kill him and he wanted a divorce helped lead to the charges, Walton said.

Walton also said that while Johnson was on his deathbed, he told investigators that his wife was trying to help him by tending his open wound, leading to the charge of practicing medicine without a license. Because he was intubated, Johnson could only communicate by nodding his head, Walton said.
    [...]
"I understand he told us that," Walton said. "But there is also what is permissible as evidence in court."
One of Lloyd Johnson's adult children, Sean Johnson, sat in the front row of court, watching the proceedings.
He said little about the dismissal of the charges afterwards.
"I was surprised from day one," he said. "I'm just mourning the loss of our father."

Laura Johnson walked out of court a free woman Wednesday, but Oakland County prosecutors put her on notice they were looking for experts who could help them build a new case that she murdered her husband.

"That's what prosecutors always do," keeping the arrest threat alive, said Richard Krisciunas, a University of Detroit Mercy law professor and former high-ranking Wayne County prosecutor.

"And that's the thing that's wrong: leaving that cloud of suspicion over her," he said.
    [...]

Oakland County Medical Examiner Dr. L.J. Dragovic said Tuesday that her husband died from an old, unhealed accident wound and other ills including morbid obesity -- he weighed 413 pounds -- heart and circulatory disease and diabetes.
    [...]

With the nod of his head from his deathbed, Farmington Hills appellate lawyer Lloyd Johnson tried to tell police what happened to him.

Intubated and unable to talk, septic from a gaping wound at the base of his spine, he motioned to answer questions from the Farmington Hills Police and medical personnel last week at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills.

Yes, he nodded, he knew his wife, Laura Johnson, 46, was taking tissue samples from his body and storing them in the freezer of their Farmington Hills home.

Yes, his wife had performed surgery on him with his consent, tending to an old wound from a boating injury, he nodded.

Yes,the profuse bleeding that eventually soaked his bedding at home was from that wound, he nodded.

Lloyd Johnson died Sept. 22. And those nods may not have been enough to convict Laura Johnson of unlawfully practicing medicine, let alone murder charges, according to the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office.
    [...]

According to court records, it was one of Lloyd Johnson's adult children who told investigators Johnson thought his wife was going to kill him, and that he wanted a divorce.

Botsford Hospital medical personnel also told investigators that Lloyd Johnson said his family thought his wife was trying to hurt him.

"(Patient) states that his wife does home wound care and it is an issue of conflict right now between family members," hospital personnel wrote. "The patient's father, mother, as well as son believe that the wife is trying to intentionally harm the patient by, they believe, giving him extra medication as well as performing unnecessary procedures to his sacral decubitus ulcer," hospital personnel wrote.
    [...]

Oakland County Medical Examiner Dr. L.J Dragovic earlier this week declared Lloyd Johnson's death an accident, which spurred the Prosecutor's Office to dismiss the charges, Walton said.

"This is what's supposed to happen," Walton said. "When evidence was newly discovered, it was immediately relayed to the court."

If prosecutors do get medical experts to contradict Dragovic, it would set up a courtroom fight and sour a vital relationship, said Macomb County Medical Examiner Daniel Spitz.

"It would be a battle, and the new expert would have to show that somehow Dragovic missed something," Spitz said. "That could cause you problems as you go forward. You could get bad blood between two offices that will need each other in the future."
    [...]

And there are still not enough answers for Lloyd Johnson's five adult children from another relationship, his son, Sean Johnson of Warren, said Wednesday after the hearing. The 25-year-old used his cell phone to snap pictures of the bloody stain on his father's bed, thinking he was going to use them to convince his father to get medical help from someone other than Laura Johnson.

Sean Johnson still hopes to see someone held responsible for his father's death.

"This has nothing to do with Laura," he said. "This has to do with what I saw at the house.

"I want to know the truth because the truth was very important to my dad."

This is very strange. What was the cause of death? Was he bed ridden? There are major details that are not told.

My sister had this cyst on her tail bone a while back. It was the nastiest thing in the world. It needed to be drained every so often, and then came the smell....the smell that came out of it was close to the smell of rotting death. His boating or canoe injury must have been down-right horrific in every way.

Prosecutors: Gory home makes Johnson unfit mom

Prosecutors convinced a family court referee this morning that Laura Johnson - the Farmington Hills woman charged with murdering her husband, but later exonerated – is a danger to her children and should have her parental rights terminated, at least for now.

The Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office filed the petition on behalf of the Michigan Department of Human Services.

The children, boys ages 8 and 10, have been in their father’s care since their mother’s arrest and subsequent release. Scott Hills, who was divorced from Laura Johnson in 2006, was in court this morning, but declined to talk to reporters. Hills, in a separate custody action, is seeking permanent physical custody of the boys. A hearing date in that case has not been set.

McMurtry said Laura Johnson, who has a documented history of mental illness, has also told the children they will die if they remain with their father. “These are very serious allegations regarding the mother’s conduct,” McMurtry told the referee.

Bilson, as a referee, makes recommendations to the family court. He recommended that the children remain with their father, and that Laura Johnson also be prohibited from contacting the children or showing up at their school. An Oct. 12 hearing is set before Oakland County Family Judge Linda Hallmark.

Laura Johnson, wearing a red silk jacket and black skirt, and walking with a cane, was in court with her attorney, Deborah McKelvy, but said little. McKelvy argued that she should have supervised visitation with her children, but the referee declined.

Johnson was also ordered to take her children’s belongings to the Farmington Hills police department by 3 p.m. Sunday so that her children can have them at their father’s home..

A February trial will determine if a Farmington Hills woman cleared in the death of her husband loses her parental rights, a judge ordered today during a hearing that included fresh allegations of bizarre behavior by Laura Johnson.

During a hearing before Oakland County Probate Judge Linda Hallmark, assistant prosecutor Julie McMurtry said Johnson, 46, told her two young sons that their father, Scott Hills, had caused the death of Lloyd G. Johnson and that "he would kill them," too.
    [...]

During Friday's hearing, McMurtry alleged that Laura Johnson pulled a sheet off of her husband at the hospital and photographed his lifeless body. The assistant prosecutor said Johnson then picked up one of her sons at his school, showed him the photo and said Hills was responsible for Lloyd Johnson's death and that "the same thing would happen to them."

Johnson's attorney, Deborah McKelvy, requested supervised parental time of one hour a week, but the boy's court appointed legal guardian, Abbie Shuman, told Probate Judge Linda Hallmark that even supervised visitations with Johnson could prove psychologically damaging.

Shuman opined that Johnson was "unpredictable" and posed a flight risk.

"In light of statements today, including Ms. Shuman, it is prudent to withhold parenting time … we will revisit it," said Hallmark, who set a Feb. 22 trial date.

The children will remain in Hills' custody, where Shuman said they were "doing great" in a new school system and receiving counseling and long-needed medical care.

In an April 2009 court filing, Johnson disclosed she had a diagnosed mental illness of paranoid personality disorder with schizophrenic features and an addiction to pain medication. Lloyd Johnson said the boys required a full-time babysitter due to her problems.

According to a petition from the state Department of Human Services seeking removal of the boys, Johnson left them alone inside a car for an extended period with the ignition running; kept suspected human tissue and blood in dog bowls under a bed; and stuffed one boy's backpack with prescription medicines, pills and insulin pens and told him to hang onto it.

Police said that when they executed a search warrant at Johnson's home related to her husband's death, she sought to retrieve surgical cutting instruments from her home so she could do surgery on the family dog, and when denied, gave the dog an enema with a garden hose. The dog later had to be euthanized.

Mom not guilty in death loses custody of her kids

Oakland Circuit Judge Linda Hallmark on Wednesday terminated the parental rights of a woman once charged with her husband's murder. Hallmark cited Laura Johnson's mental health and substance abuse issues, as well as concern over the safety and welfare of her two sons, 8 and 10. The boys have been placed in the care of their biological father, Johnson's first husband.
