Clifford Jones spent 17 years in prison for raping a 12 year old relative in 1985.

Wednesday Clifford Jones was sentenced to 31 years in prison after pleading guilty to six counts each of rape and gross sexual imposition, three counts of kidnapping, two counts each of attempted rape and robbery, and one count of menacing. He plead guilty in cases of four women between September and November 2004 and confessed to 5 unsolved rates dating back to 1980.

One of the victims was a 12 year old girl whe was raped by Jones when she came home from school after he broke in through a window.

Jones was connected through DNA in cases from 1984 and then picking up again in 2004 after he was released from prison.

Here is a case I found from 2005, where Cliff Jones was caught at at least two Targets exposing himself to children.

If I remember correctly, Stephanie Tubbs Jones, current Ohio Congresswoman and former Cuyahoga County Prosecutor, sent Cliff Jones back to prison on that case. I think it may have been when he was in prison on those exposing charges that they were able to obtain and match his DNA to the rapes.


I can't imagine how many more victims there are.

This serial rapist and offender will be eligible for parole when he is 80.
