St. Cloud man arrested for sexual battery of child
ST. CLOUD, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Osceola County Sheriff's detectives have arrested a man stemming from a month-long investigation into a report of possible sexual abuse of a childl. Kristian Leigh Poitras, 23, or St. Cloud, is charged with 50 counts of capital sexual battery.
The victim's father had alerted authorities to concerns about the abuse. On August 9, the victim was interviewed by the Child Protection Team. She indicated that Poitras, a relative, had watched her on numerous occasions. Deputies said the victim, who is now 8 years olds, told them that he forced her to have sex multiples times when she was six and seven years old.
