http://wdbo.com/localnews/2010/09/da...g-son-ove.htmlA Leesburg man is accused of domestic abuse and assault with a firearm for trying to get his teenage son motivated to play football.
Volusia County deputies say Robert Barker was upset with the boy, who the coach sat for half the game, because he complained of feeling dizzy.
"Mr. Barker apparently made him suit up in his pads and his helmet later that day and run what's described as a wind sprint back and forth," said Sgt. Jim Vachon with the Volusia County Sheriff's Office.

"While we can't say for sure he was shooting at him, the victim was in the state of mind that he was about to be shot," Vachon said.

Barker reportedly told the teen he needed more conditioning, the arrest report said, so he set up cones about 20 yards apart in the front yard of a home.
Then he ordered the teen to perform sprints while wearing football gear. It was 91 degrees with a heat index of 107 on Saturday, a deputy said in a report.
