A school volunteer in Brooklyn was arrested today and charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

The Special Commissioner of Investigations Office says Colin Leahy, 23, had inappropriate conduct with male students at P.S. 236 in Mill Basin.

The department says an ongoing investigation found Leahy had a relationship with a 12-year-old boy through text messages that contained sexual references. The investigation also found Leahy made sexual comments to a 10-year-old student whom he took to the movies at least twice, where a second 10-year-old boy joined them.

Leahy is charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He has also been placed on the Department of Education's list of ineligible volunteers.
