Four men arrested in Lakewood shootings
LAKEWOOD — Four men were arrested here Thursday in connection with a fatal shooting early Thursday morning, one of four that occurred in the township over an eight-hour period from Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
Carlos B. Gonzales, 18, of Cross Street, Hyron Dorsey, 31, of Zachary Court, Tyquan Strand, 19, of Prospect Street, and Yasim F. Jones, 18, of Bond Street in Elizabeth, were all charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the death of Rodney Cutler, attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder of Steven Rosado and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
All are being held at Ocean County Jail with bail set at $1 million cash each.

The first shots occurred on Ronald Road at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, and police found Keary J. Bradley, 37, in front of his home with bullet wounds on his neck and leg, said Ocean County Prosecutor Marlene Lynch Ford.
The second shootings occurred around 12:30 a.m. Thursday at the Kennedy Apartments at South Clover Street and Cedar Bridge Avenue. Police found Rosado, 19, of Warren Street, who had been shot in the leg, and later found Cutler, 40, also of Warren Street, dead between cars in the parking lot, according to Ford.
"An autopsy performed Friday morning determined Cutler was killed by multiple gunshot wounds, one of which was fatal," said Deputy Chief Michael Mohel of the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.
A third report of shots fired came at about 5:30 a.m. Thursday on East Seventh Street. There were no injuries, but a car was damaged.
Lastly, there was a fourth report of shots fired, in the High Point garden apartment complex at the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Prospect Street, but no injuries were reported, said Ford.
Police are continuing to investigate whether there is a connection between the fatal shooting and the other incidents, Ford said.
Ford said "these arrests -- less than 24 hours after the incident -- are reflective of the commitment of this police force to the safety of their community."

On March 16, 2001, Cutler was sentenced to five years in state prison on drug charges in Ocean County, the court documents show. He pleaded guilty to the charges in 1995 but was a fugitive until 2001. In 1991, Cutler was charged with burglary in Monmouth County, in 1993 an assault charge in Ocean County was downgraded to attempt to cause bodily injury and in 2005 he was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, according to court records. In February 2008, prosecutors brought drug possession and distribution charges against Cutler but dropped them in July 2009, records show.
Rosado was shot at in November 2007, when brothers Brandon and Anthony Graves were shot. Anthony Sims pleaded guilty to the shooting and is currently serving a seven-year prison term. Rosado pleaded guilty in on Feb. 22 to drug charges and is on Drug Court probation for the next five years, according to court records.

Bradley has charges dating back to 1993 and as recently as March 4, with a wide variety of drug charges, child endangerment and terroristic threats. He has been been in and out of state prison since 1993.
