Troy Moon's daughter dies from burns & mom lies about how it happened.

ALIQUIPPA, Pa. -- A Beaver County father is under arrest Wednesday in the death of a 1-year-old girl.

Trinity Moon died on April 19 after being burned with boiling water and receiving third-degree burns over 50 percent of her body.

Police said there was a domestic dispute between Troy Moon and the baby’s mother, 31-year-old Delonda Tucker, when Troy hit a pot of boiling water and it spilled onto Trinity.

Tucker originally told police that she tripped over the baby in a walker while carrying the pot of boiling water in the kitchen. Officials said she made up the story because she was afraid her other child would be taken from her.

Troy Moon was charged with criminal homicide and is in the Beaver County Jail with no bond.

    Tucker has not been charged.

    Here is the first story.

ALIQUIPPA, Pa. -- On the eve of her first birthday, Trinity Moon suffered a horrific burn.

Police say her mother was preparing for the party by making pasta on the stove.

She lost her footing and the boiling water went on her and her baby.

Chief Ralph Pallante said, “She back tracked in the kitchen, hit the child’s walker and the boiling water fell out.”

Mother and child had to go to the hospital but after fighting for five days, Trinity died from complications from the third degree burns that covered half her body.

Pallante said they are investigating the incident, but believe it was an unfortunate accident.

ALIQUIPPA, Pa. -- A jury found an Aliquippa man not guilty in the scalding death of his 1-year-old daughter.

It took the jury about an hour of deliberation to find Troy Moon not guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the scalding death of his daughter, Trinity Moon.

Police said Moon was upset at his wife in April when he threw items off his kitchen counter, including a pot of boiling water that spilled on his daughter the day before her birthday.

She died of third-degree burns that covered over half of her body.

Trinity's mother, Delonda Tucker, had testified Moon would never intentionally hurt their child.

The defense attorney said it was a horrific accident and the family should be grieving and not worrying about a trial.

Prosecutors said Moon should have known better.

Well duh, that IS what usually happens when one protects their penis without thinking about the welfare of their child. Grrrr.

Glad this evil penis is in jail. Hope what he did to his daughter haunts him every day of the rest of his miserable life. May he scald his man bits in the prison shower. Prick.

    As you do

I cant believe he has been found not guilty. Anyone who throws a pot of boiling water around with a child in the vicinity (or anyone for that matter), and then that child dies from terrible scalding, is surely guilty of something? Causing death by gross negligence? Or participating in an unbelieveable act of stupidity leading to death?

I bet he was aiming at the mother, and she ducked it.

The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling…
And even more beautiful is, knowing that you are the reason behind it.

The jury must have decided he didn't intentionally toss the pot. I would have liked to sit in on that trial.

If it was all just an accident then why did anyone have to lie? Guess that part was lost on the jury. Hopefully karma will kick in and there will be painful scalding in this man's future. One can only hope it happens more than once.
