A St. Francis man allegedly sexually assaulted a seven-year-old girl in the Coon Rapids Wal-Mart store May 2nd.
Brian Keith Baker, 34, 23423 Inca St. N.W., was arraigned in Anoka County District Court today (Tuesday, May 6) on a felony second-degree criminal sexual conduct charge.
The evening of May 2, a woman was shopping at Wal-Mart, 13020 Riverdale Blvd., with her two daughters, ages 7 and 8.
According to the complaint, the girls were in toy section and the mother was in another part of the store when she got a cell phone call from her older daughter to say that her seven-year-old sister told her that she had just been kissed by “some guy.”
When a Coon Rapids Police officer questioned the girl, she told him that while she was sitting on a mini-couch, a man came up and kissed her, putting his tongue in her mouth.
She alleged he tried to push him away, but he grabbed on to her and unzipped her pants.
Her mother alleged that when she found her daughter her pants were unzipped and unbuttoned.
The girl described the man as having a beard and wearing a black pullover, hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans and he was pushing an empty shopping cart.
In a subsequent interview with an Anoka County Sheriff’s Office investigator, the girl again alleged the man had kissed her and she pointed to her crotch area when asked where the man had touched her.
