One driver is charged with Aggravated DWI, "Leandra's Law," and tonight we have new footage of that accident.
Leandra's Law took effect in Mid-December, and since then, there have been over 300 arrests.
A surveillance camera outside Lee Publications along Route 5 at the Palatine/Nelliston line captured the Sunday afternoon scene.
You can see a couple of cars and then two motorcycles come in from the left.
Eastbound, the second biker slams on his brakes, but it's too late.
Seconds later, one of the motorcycles slides back on its side and the car that hit him comes to rest with a smashed in hood.
A 13-year old boy gets out of the front seat, opens the door for a 4-year old, and they run for safety.
One person pulls over to call 911, and then minutes later, the scene has first responders from the sheriff's office, fire, and rescue.
The driver of the car, 34-year-old Sybil Barber Monk of Fort Plain, was treated and then jailed.
Among the charges are DWAI-drugs, and Aggravated DWI under Leandra's Law.
I don't get it.. I really don't. Again we have a selfish person that doesn't care about anyone or anything but herself. I can't post her mugshot photo but rest assured, she's hit the meth pipe a few times. Hope you're proud of the memories you've given your kids Sybil, you selfish bitch.
