LaRoderick Allen / Isiah Lockett
Bethany police said a teen and his baby sister were stabbed at a house near Northwest 36th Street and North Hollway Avenue. Police said the two showed up at a fire station near Northwest 36rd Street and Rockwell Avenue with stab wounds.

Officers said the grandmother's boyfriend, LaRoderick Allen, got into a fight with her 19-year-old grandson. The grandmother was holding the baby when she tried to break up the fight, and Allen then pushed her.

Police said Allen then stabbed her grandson and took off to a neighbor's house. The grandmother said her boyfriend was acting strange all day.

"He's been tripping, singing a song, 'I'm gonna catch a case' all day. You know, weird stuff. I didn't say anything to the man. Who knows? Let him get his stuff and go," said Diane Gabral. "I mean, I can understand if I knew my grandson had done something to him."

She said the fight started after she tried to step in between them.

"I didn't know he had a knife because it's so pitch-black out there," she said.

After Allen ran, another man came after him and tried to shoot him, but Allen used an 18-year-old pregnant woman to shield himself, police said.

No one was hurt when shots were fired. Police said they were looking for Isiah Lockett in connection with the gunshots.

Allen was arrested. The 19-year-old and baby were taken to the hospital and rushed into surgery.
