Dead man's prescription not filled

Melissa Songer, 26, of Kirksville is charged with fraudulently attempting to obtain a controlled substance.The substance in this case was Hydrocodone.
Songer is being held in the Adair County Jail on $10,000 cash only bond.
Songer is currently awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to a previous charge of second-degree statutory rape.

25-year old Melissa Songer, of Kirksville, has been indicted on a charge of first degree statutory rape. She is accused of having intercourse with a boy under the age of 14. The indictment alleges the incident, involving a boy age 13, occurred in September of last year. Songer is schedule to be arraigned in Adair County Circuit Court Tuesday. She is being held in the Adair County Jail under 50-thousand dollars cash only bond.
