CINCINNATI - Prosecutors say a Tri-State man accused of fatally stabbing his stepdaughter was trying to stop her from telling her mother that the two had a sexual relationship.
David Robbins is charged in the June 5 stabbings of his 24-year-old stepdaughter, Yolanda Smith, and his estranged wife, 58-year-old Doris Robbins.
Investigators say that 56-year-old Robbins is the father of Smith's 4-year-old twins and he did not want Robbins to find out.
Prosecutors say they are pursuing DNA testing to confirm the allegations.
Yolanda Smith died from her injuries, but Doris Robbins survived the attack at a North Avondale park. near Xavier University.
David Robbins remains in police custody on a $1 million bond.
