[/Two people were shot and rushed to the hospital after an early morning home invasion robbery in Colerain Township.
Colerain Township police and detectives from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office continue to piece together the circumstances that lead up to Friday morning's double shooting in the 2500 block of Wenning Road.
Police say that around 2:30 a.m., three black male suspects forced their way into the residence, confronted the two residents of the home and shot them.
The victims of the incident are identified as Antwuan Little and Heidi Blake. Both were taken to University Hospital. Little is listed in good condition and Blake is listed in critical condition.
Officers say they were at the same house last month when a Colerain Township officer was forced to shoot a dog. The people who lived at the residence reportedly had a number of dogs.
The Cincinnati SPCA was called to the house to remove an adult dog and as many as four puppies.
Police say a vehicle that left the neighborhood shortly after the time of the shooting may be connected to the crime, but police have not released a description of that vehicle.
The house on Wenning Road is less than a mile away from a home on Windsong Drive where a similar home invasion robbery left two men dead and two women injured over the weekend.
There's no word on whether Friday morning's robbery and shooting may be related to the deadly Windsong Drive incident.
The shooting remains under investigation.
