Kelly Moss Earns A DUI Drinking Vanilla Diet Coke

Coca-Cola may have discontinued Vanilla Diet Coke, but a Germantown woman arrested Thursday apparently just couldn't get enough.

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call about a woman suspiciously slumped over the steering wheel in a white car parked in front of Arlington Middle School. Kelly Moss, 48, was in the driver's seat of the vehicle, partially parked on the school's driveway and the sidewalk, officers said.

According to an affidavit, Moss's speech was slurred and fragmented and she was unable to stand or walk without assistance. She did not comply with field sobriety and blood-alcohol tests.

An officer noticed partially empty bottles of vanilla extract, labeled as 35 percent alcohol by volume, and Diet Coke in the front seat, and they said they smelled a strong vanilla odor on the woman's breath. A grocery receipt found in the vehicle listed two 8-ounce bottles of vanilla extract, purchased Wednesday.

I totally get this where this woman is coming from. I LOVED coke with lime but now they only make it for diet coke, which I couldn't drink if you paid me. I feel like I would resort to drastic measures for the right coke.

I tried to drink vanilla extract when I was about 8 or 9...it smelled so good, I just knew it would be delicious! Put it in cakes, don't they? I was so damn sick I thought I would die.

I remember getting wasted on vanilla extract mixed with milk. Horrible, horrible combo. Vomiting ensued...

it actually sounds pretty yummy! straight extract would be gross, but spiked into the coke doesn't sound half-bad.

idk. unless she was a major alkie, and not supposed to be drinking, i feel bad for her. vanilla diet coke is my favorite, and i can understand how she would take matters into her own hands. she is well over 21 and a pint of vodka is a cheap thing. if she wanted to get shithoused, i don't think that this would be the way.

I usually do not get on well with people who are drunk.

However she looks so happy and friendly.
I believe that should be added to her sheet
So that the judge may be a little nice to her.
