TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - South Tucson police are working the possible kidnapping of a 5-month-old girl.
The baby's grandmother was caring for her and her sister when the possible abduction took place last night, South Tucson Police spokesman Lt. Jeff Inorio said.
The grandmother was drinking with a man, whose name may be Merle, at the Borden's Court Apartments, Inorio added.
South Tucson Police got a call about 10:25 Wednesday night that the baby, Trini, was missing. They say she may have been taken sometime between 7:00pm and 10:00pm.
The baby's carrier was found a block from the apartment complex.
The man thought to have taken the baby may be homeless.
He's a Native American, 40-years-old, 5'6", 160 lbs., last seen wearing a black shirt with red and blue writing, and red shorts with blue and white stripes.
South Tucson Police say the man has been seen with an asian female with short, spiked black hair riding the bus.
