Garden Grove Police arrested a man Wednesday suspected of crashing a wedding reception and leaving with nearly $2,000 in cash and gift certificates three years ago.
A recent tip led to the arrest of 38-year-old Stephen Kadlec of Canyon Lake.
Kadlec is currently on probation for commercial burglary.
Police believe Kadlec is the same man captured by surveillance cameras at Garden Room Chapel in Garden Grove, who pretended to be a guest at Anthony and Jennifer Smith's wedding in August 2007.
Video footage captured the suspect standing at a box containing envelopes with what appears to be an envelope in his hand.
He licks the envelope but never puts it in the box.
The suspect then walked away and returned with his jacket over his shoulder.
He then digs into the box and leaves with the envelopes, police said.
Police believe Kadlec could be responsible for other similar crimes.
