SourceThey say ignorance is bliss, but sometimes it can be deadly. A woman has been charged with animal abuse after leaving 25 cats and 2 dogs inside of a hot vehicle for 2 hrs this past Sunday.
St. Charles police arrested Lori Pellin, 39, was inside of a casino. Pellin told the police that she had become homeless 3 days before and she was inside of the casino to use a computer and look for an apartment. She also indicated that she wanted to do a bit of gambling.
Thankfully, concerned passersby notified police of the animals in the hot vehicle. The 25 cats and 2 dogs were rescued from the vehicle and all survived, despite the high temperatures outdoors.
Police reported that the interior of the car was in deplorable condition - trash, food and feces were throughout the vehicle.
I’m just wondering how the hell she could even drive the car with that many animals in it.
