Teen Killed Kitten To Punish Kids
The Isleton Police Department said 19-year-old Kimo Acoo hurled the young cat against his bedroom door at his home on Delta Avenue in a fit of rage after two boys, ages 7 and 10, accidentally woke him up from a nap.
The Siamese kitten, just a few weeks old, was mortally wounded but did not die immediately, according to authorities.
The two boys were so distraught they wrapped the kitten in a t-shirt and tried to find a paramedic, police said. When they couldn't locate one, they walked to Isleton City Hall to ask for help from police chief Rick Sullivan.
Sullivan said the crying boys begged him to help save the kitten, but it was already too late.
"They were forth right about who did it," Sullivan added.
Investigators said Acoo admitted to throwing the animal, but said he was concerned the
one-pound kitten was going to harm his girlfriend's baby, so he threw it.
Police said they don't believe Acoo's story.
Police said Acoo's girlfriend kicked him out of the house after the death of the kitten, but CBS13 observed him walking back into the house while gathering information for this story.
