Bank robber makes getaway in wheelchair

Police released a sketch Friday evening of the man suspected of holding up a bank in the Stanford Shopping Center and making his getaway in an electric wheelchair.

The search continued Friday for the suspect, whom police described as a white male, 65-70 years old, with gray hair and a beard. Both of his legs were bandaged and one was in a cast.

He was last seen motoring east toward El Camino Real at about 4:25 p.m.

Are you serious? This is soo ridiculous! It may be an electric scooter, but for Christ's sake, how long would it take for him to go blazing through the bank at what, 3, 4 MPH? NO ONE in the bank could catch him??? And then the time it takes to load that freaking chair into a van, no one could catch up then either?
