    A newborn baby has been found abandoned in a village pub, police said today.

    The baby boy, who is less than a day old, was found in a bag at 11.15pm yesterday at the Hawk and Buckle pub in Etwall, Derbyshire.

    He was taken to Derby Royal Hospital where he was named Jack by staff. He is described as being in good health.

    Director of nursing, Em Wilkinson-Brice, appealed for the mother to contact the pregnancy assessment unit.
    She said: 'He is a beautiful baby boy and he is being cared for on the children’s ward.

    'He will need some treatment for the next 48 hours and various tests are being done as a precautionary measure.





    OMG, how CUTE is he?!! How can they do it? So so glad this gorgeous little cutie was found alive and well.

    This reminds me of the case baby was left by a GYM mistaken for a bag of towels. Unfortunately, in that case, baby died as no one noticed the bag as being misplaced.

    I hope he is put in arms who have been aching for a baby to love and make their own.

    obviously this baby will have no trouble finding a loving home. being cute and healthy and white and stuff.

    seriously, i always think it's such a good thing that the mom/parent just abandoned the baby in public place rather than the far too frequent alternative of smothering it in a plastic bag. maybe this lil guy is destined for greatness.

    He is adorable. I hope he finds a very loving home. I'm waaaayyy past my baby raising days, but he's so sweet looking even I'd volunteer to give the little cutie a good home.

    OMG he's so handsome. My arms ache for a baby that needs a Mommy to love them. I would take him in a new york second. He would have a family with tons of cousins and doting aunts, uncles and grandparents. Some things in life just aren't fair. Ok time to move on before I end up crying at the unfairness yet again.
