Jerry Holmes Sought In Crimes Including Rape,3 Already Being Held

Ponca City police arrested three people Friday in the 2000 block of Cedar and are seeking a fourth subject wanted on a $200,000 warrant.
Jerry Don Holmes, 51, is charged in Kay County District Court with a felony count of first degree rape by instrumentation, forcible sodomy, three felony counts of lewd molestation and unlawful possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Police spokeswoman Sherry Bowers said that Holmes is charged in connection with the rapes of a 9-year-old girl and a 10-year-old girl.
The crimes were reported to police in January and April.
Police served warrants at the residence on Friday and arrested Sondra Kaye Holmes, 49, Ponca City on a felony count of unlawful possession of marijuana. She is being held on $10,000 bond.
Anthony Duane Holmes, 22, was also arrested on warrants.
His criminal background dates back to 2006.
In July of 2006 he was charged with a felony count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

He entered a plea of guilty and sentencing was deferred for one year by former Judge Rob Galbraith.
In January of 2007 he was charged with a felony count of assault with a dangerous weapon.
That case was dismissed by Galbraith on a motion made by the state.

In September of 2008, Anthony was charged again with a felony count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
That charge was dismissed without costs on July 9, 2009 by Judge Lee Stout.
In February of 2008, Anthony was charged with a misdemeanor count of obtaining cash and or merchandise by bogus check or false pretenses.
He failed to appear for a court date in the case on Dec. 16 and was wanted on a $1,000 warrant at the time of Friday's arrest.

Police returned to the residence Saturday morning in an attempt to locate Holmes but were unable to apprehend him. A vehicle was towed from the residence.
As of press time police were still searching for Jerry Don Holmes.

A fourth subject was arrested Friday. He has been released.

PC Police Search For Rape Suspect

Ponca City police continue to search for 51-year-old Jerry Don Holmes who is charged in Kay County District Court with a felony count of first degree rape by instrumentation, forcible sodomy, three felony counts of lewd molestation and unlawful possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Police served warrants at a residence in the 2000 block of Cedar on Friday and arrested Sondra Kaye Holmes, 49, on a felony count of unlawful possession of marijuana and Anthony Duane Holmes, 22, on an outstanding warrant.

According to the affidavit, police began an investigation in January after receiving a report of child abuse. Holmes was investigated and now charged with the crimes of performing sex acts with two 10-year-old girls and a nine-year-old girl.
A search warrant was first conducted at the Holmes residence on Jan. 22. Police found evidence described by the children but did not arrest Jerry because of his health issues. Instead, an appointment was made for the couple at the police station for an interview and they did not show up.

Bond for Holmes is endorsed at $200,000.
On Monday, Sondra Holmes appeared in district court and bond was reduced from $10,000 to $2,500 by Judge Phil Ross.

According to the affidavit, Sondra is accused of dealing marijuana. She is scheduled for an attorney status review on July 1.

Anthony Holmes appeared in court on Monday on a failure to appear charge.

He is scheduled to appear on the misdemeanor docket on Oct. 8.

Rape Case Court Date Is Sept. 17
