I must have taken hisgirl's post differently than everyone else. I read it as she was saying the mom should have gotten just as much time, I agree. When I read it I thought she was using all of those reasons as to why the mom should have known not to leave the baby with him, the depression etc. In one of the articles the state said the same thing in the hearing to keep the mother from getting the baby back. I don't think the mom should ever get the baby back, she failed to report and also should have known not to leave the baby with the boyfriend.

While I cannot agree with the 40 days that she recieved for her negligence, I do not believe she should be punished in the same manner as the actual abuser. I agree 100% that she should never be left to care for another child. EVER!

I am not saying the mom was not negligent in her choice to leave her child with him, but she probably thought that as the baby's father he would never hurt his own child. (I doubt she has ever been on a site like D'D, so she probably didn't know how common it is) I mean after all, they both planned the pregnancy.

The problem I have with hisgirl is that she was talking shit about the mother, calling her a whore. What does that have to do with the child being hurt. All I saw was, "I am his girl now, and the mother is just a whore and she should be the one in trouble, not my man, he couldn't help it, he was depressed". I don't give a shit how fucking depressed a person is, hurting a child is never the answer. They look to you for love, support, just about everything.

ty misssmartypants, your words will never change someone who thinks they will then have an idyll life with the baby and father, but you said exactly how it is, you grow up a little bit, you think you can do it better, you try and fail, another one bites the dust and it always your baby that bites it... so you have to watch him the rest of your life and know that you hold the key to the knowledge that will never work... Girls about 12 or so NEED to take care of the younger ones, the kids never forget them and the girl doesnt either, its the way life should be, modern science has changed a lot of things but one thing it hasnt changed is our need for each other... even if we need animals to find the love, we still find it... its there even when we lose it, it is there forever, each one of us can wake up and look around our surroundings and find one love, that one love that will never go away. even if its a mouse or a dog or some other creature, we can all dig up in our heart what we reallly love...

In this case, their ass has to be put through what you said AND:

- have a house with no furniture,
- no food,
- no no electricity, water or heat
- have them one have a shitty job and the other NO JOB whatsoever,
- cameras (for the purpose of preventing child abuse or ANY type of abuse)
-have them not be couples (as in boyfriends & girlfriends can't be a couple because of more sex and also so that they hate each other)
- have all their babies be the difficult demanding & sickly ones,
- have no vehicle (not even a bicycle),
- have them STILL go to school.

All of these things is basically what the statistics say that will pretty much garranty an environment with a propensity for domestic violence and abuse.

THIS is what real life is really like when you plan for kids without planning FOR THE MONEY INVOLVED IN LIVING A LIFE LIKE IN YOUR HEAD.
