Mother of two kidnapped in KCK, reportedly by three men in a gray van
A young mother of two children was reportedly kidnapped Wednesday from Kansas City, Kan., and police said there was a good chance she was taken across the state line.
Police, who responded about 4 p.m. to the 500 block of Westview Drive on the kidnapping report, identified the victim as Gabriella Birelas, who is thought to be about 20 years old.
Sgt. Emmett Lockridge described the incident as a home invasion where the womanís toddler children were present. The home is thought to be Birelasí residence.
Lockridge said police were treating the report as a bona fide kidnapping and were trying to find the victim and her abductors. The department was coordinating its effort with Kansas City police and the FBI because Birelas may have been taken across the state line.
