ORLANDO, Fla. -- The attorney representing George Anthony released a statement on Tuesday, saying his client had nothing to do with the death of his granddaughter, Caylee Marie Anthony.

George Anthony is the father of Casey Anthony, who is charged with murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.

Orlando attorney Mark Lippman issued the statement amid a media report saying that Casey Anthony's defense could suggest that George Anthony was responsible for Caylee's death.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Another hearing has been scheduled in the case against Casey Anthony.

Judge Belvin Perry will hear a motion Thursday morning regarding a defense request to add new names to its witness list.

Defense attorneys hope to add six names in all. The list includes two mental health experts who the defense said will "rebut recent rulings" regarding Anthony's state of mind and "consciousness of guilt."

State Finishes Possible Witness Interview In Casey Case

ORLANDO, Fla. -- There was more legal action on Tuesday in the case against Casey Anthony. The state finished interviewing possible new witness Patricia Young Tuesday afternoon.
In September 2008, Young was in a fight with Casey's father, George Anthony, while protesting outside the Anthony house.

WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer said the defense may try to call Young as a witness, possibly to blame George for Caylee's death (watch full interview).

I've always thought a plea deal could be a last minute thing in this case. I will tell you this...If The State agrees to allow Casey Anthony to take a plea deal at the last minute, I will flip my lid. That would be a total waste of taxpayer's dollars, time, resources, reputations all because that murdering little whore wanted to live it up by dancing on her jail bed in her jail clothes, saggy bra and reading love letters from all the crazies and criminals who are in love with her while in protective custody. Hey, if she can't slut it up on a night club table, at least she can do it on her bed in jail...the only problem is when her backacne starts itching and she has to scratch her back against the bars.

The problem with George Marie being blamed for Caylee's murder is that the initial police interviews he gave were too genuine. His sorrow and pain was palpable. He may have switched sides now, but I don't think in the beginning he was "Team Casey". Trying to blame him now would be a big problem for Jose Marie a jury would see right through that.

I'm with you, Whisp. I hope she fries. I hope her parents fry. I hope her ugly ass brother fries. They're all pieces of shit in my book.
