David Dickey Went Looking For Stolen Dogs, Shot And Killed...Suspect On The Run

COLLETON COUNTY, SC (WTOC) - What sounds like a neighborhood argument turns deadly in northern Colleton County Monday night.

In Islandton, SC, police say David Dickey, 48, went to a house on Cayce Road around 7pm and confronted the homeowner, Kenny Brown, about someone stealing a couple dogs. Investigators say Brown pulled a gun and shot Dickey several times. He died at the scene.

Brown took off in a red 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck bearing SC tag BBH 726. If you've seen him, or know where he is, call police at (843) 549-2211.
