Reno woman arrested after allegedly kidnapping of 9-year-old boy
Reno police have arrested a 43-year-old woman on charges she snatched a 9-year-old boy off the street this morning and dragged him into her apartment.
Neighbors who heard the boy’s screams rescued the boy from her E. Seventh Street apartment.
Joy Langan was booked into the Washoe County Jail on suspicion of kidnapping, child abuse and burglary.
Authorities said Langan has severe mental illness issues.
The incident occurred about 8:18 a.m. in the 100 block of E. Seventh Street.
Police said the boy had been riding his scooter on the sidewalk when Langan grabbed him, and dragged him across the street to her apartment.

Wow...She looks like maybe the sunburn got through to her brain. Thank goodness for the alert neighbors! Glad the little boy is safe and sound.

Some how, some way more needs to be done with and for these people. It's sad that so many are "released into the wild" only to commit crimes because of thoughts they can not control.

I have no answer-- my taxes already take almost 44% of my wages--how will we ever monitor, and treat these people?
