http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/23244432/detail.htmlA manager of a Detroit strip club has been charged and accused of hiring a 14-year-old girl as a topless dancer.
Investigators said the girl was working at The All Star Topless Bar on 8 Mile Road in Detroit.
Police said Andrew Hutson, 31, is charged with child sexually abusive activity, a 20-year-felony.

Investigators said the girl has worked at the club for several nights a week for the past two months.
The girl's mother told police she has had a hard time controlling her daughter. She also said the girl suffers from mental retardation.
Evans said the girl earned more than $350 a night and she would turn over most of it to the club for the privilege of dancing and to tip the DJ and other employees.

The mother told police the girl would tell her she was staying at a friend's house and go to the club. Once she learned where her daughter was, she took her out of the club and called police, the mother said.

The girl's mother, whom The Detroit News isn't naming because of the girl's age, said she found out from her daughter's friend the girl had been dancing at the All Star topless bar for at least two months. The girl earned about $350 a night, the mother said.
The 39-year-old mother showed up at the bar Wednesday and demanded to see her daughter.
"The people at the door tried to say she wasn't working there," the woman said. "But I gave them her school ID."
Club workers then brought the girl to her mother.
"She didn't have much to say," the 39-year-old said.

http://www.freep.com/article/2010042...-shut-for-goodBilly Hutson, the suspect's brother, said the charges are unwarranted.
"He didn't hire her," said Billy Hutson, 27, who said he works at the club as a porter. "This is a legit establishment. We play by the rules."
A club employee who refused to give his name showed reporters a Michigan ID card that he said the girl provided upon hiring. The date of birth on the ID indicated she was 21.
The employee said the girl also had a dancer's license -- called a dance card -- as required by city ordinance, but Evans said she did not.
Evans said he'll work to convince the state's liquor control authorities to padlock the club, which he said has been the site of 11 nonfatal and three fatal shootings since 2004.
The club also has made headlines as being the employer of a Detroit stripper whose shooting death was at the center of Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick's eventual downfall.
The club routinely stonewalls officers investigating incidents there, Evans added.
"But our resolve is strong," Evans said.
