Female Body Pulled Out Of Madison Lake- Suspicious

MADISON COUNTY, Ohio—Authorities pull a female body out of a lake in Madison County Tuesday afternoon, and the sheriff’s office is calling it a suspicious death.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS from the Madison County sheriff’s office.
Authorities were called to Madison Lake, part of Madison Lake State Park, at about 1:30 p.m.
The lake is south of state Route 665 or London-Lockbourne Road.
A body was pulled from the lake at about 2 p.m.
The Madison County sheriff’s office told NBC 4 the body appeared to be a white female.
The office could not elaborate currently on the female’s age or identification or a cause of death.
The office did tell NBC 4 the death was being considered suspicious.
Authorities remained on the scene to investigate.

LONDON, Ohio — Authorities have identified a woman whose body was discovered in a Madison County lake.

The body of Cheryl J. Matthews, of London, was spotted near the south shore of Madison Lake by a fisherman late Tuesday morning, 10TV News reported.

Investigators said Matthews was fully clothed and her body showed no signs of obvious trauma.

Sheriff's deputies said Matthews' minivan was found parked nearby.
