Larry Greene has been charged with second-degree murder, after reportedly confessing to authorities he punched the baby in the chest.
Greene -- who apparently watched Xiah Greene each day as his 17-year-old mother attended school -- was apparently jealous of the amount of time she would spend with her baby. Sources tell PIX News, Greene initially told police he had hit the child because he was choking.

Authorities found Xiah unconscious inside the family's apartment on 113th Ave. in St. Albans Tuesday night. The infant was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The baby's mother has not been charged.

The child's mother, Cassandra Nady, asked Greene, 20, who lives nearby, to watch Xiah at her St. Albans home.
"He said the baby fell when he was feeding him but it wasn't even close to the truth," said Nady.
An assisstant district attorney handling the case said that Greene showed no remorse and under questioning admitted to striking the baby in the past, a family member told 1010 WINS.
